Veganism is on the rise now more than ever, but one of the biggest burger suppliers in the United States is still dragging it's feet in the addition of a veggie burger to the menu. McDonald's currently has only one vegan items on the menu, and a few vegetarian options. Not only is beef bad for the cows and McDonald's customers, it's also a non-sustainable food source that takes a toll on the environment. Beef and other forms of meat, like fish, chicken, and bacon use up grains and water that could otherwise be feeding the underprivileged citizens of third world countries. Not only that, but the emissions of greenhouse gasses that slaughterhouses produce are steadily depleting the ozone layer. Sign my petition to help McDonald's see that a veggie burger is in demand and would do their company, and the planet, good.
