During the last presidential election, climate change was totally absent from the debate. The candidates discussed their plans for the economy and jobs, the Middle East and other important topics of our time, but they neglected to mention the environment or carbon emissions. Why would they? Moderators simply did not ask the candidates how they would get us on the right track to a cleaner, more sustainable world.
